're following breaking news from san francisco. that officer involved shooting tied to a stolen taxi cab. brian flores is there in fort mason. you just got new video, brian. >> reporter: good morning, dave. we're in the fort mason area. as you can see behind me still a very active scene. it's been that way for at least 30 minutes. there are cop cars in this area. this is the area where we believe the stolen cab is located. we still haven't seen it yet. this is the last location of where the stolen cab is and what we believe were the suspect was arrested. here's details of what we know this morning. from what we understand, the suspect vandalized a taxi cab. somewhere in the area of jackson and buchanon. the driver of that taxi cab got out and confronted the suspect. when he did so the suspect entered the taxi cab and stole and drove away with it. officers were able to locate that taxi cab in a patrol car around jackson and spruce but that taxi cab actually rammed into the patrol car and from what we understand there are shots fired in the area of ja

in san francisco want to know who took an assault rifle from an unmarked police car. on saturday someone broke into a locked vehicle on mission street and grab ared the ar15 -- grabbed the ar15 rifle. it's a type of gun given to officers who may use it during incidents like a barricaded suspect. san francisco police have sent out an alert to other agencies to recover that weapon. >>> a woman seen caught breaking into a san francisco home held police off with a shotgun for more than two years. residents of alliance street home arrived yesterday afternoon to find their house being burglarized. they left and called 911, and a stand off ensued. s.w.a.t officers talked the suspect into dropping the gun and a hatchet and then surrendering. she is facing burglary charges. >>> tragedy the at escape from alcatraz try at ron this week, a -- triathalon. a 46-year-old man died. organizers say the man had a massive heart attack in the bay. the fire department pulled him out of the 55-degree water and then tried to revive him but just couldn't. this is the

a little sea breeze into san francisco but about 64 degrees in oakland. and warmer weather is on the way. we'll talk more about that in a moment. right now let's check the roads with elizabeth. >> we have delays right now coming into fremont. so three of the left lanes are blocked on northbound 680 because of this overnight roadwork and it's not scheduled to wrap up until about 6:00 this morning. so again that's northbound 680 between mission boulevard south and mission boulevard north. in the meantime if you want to ride bart, so far we checked in with bart 38 trains on time. looking outside right now, a lot of the overnight roadwork is picked up including 880 by 66 all lanes open toward downtown oakland this morning. no metering lights and no delay on the bay bridge getting into san francisco. right now bridge crews are working to clear the stall on westbound 92 on the incline section of the san mateo bridge. so as you can see, it's still early so it's not causing a delay. that is traffic. back to you guys. >> thank you. >>> less t

jose, about 58 in san francisco. and 58 degrees in santa rosa. more on our rainy weather coming up. right now i'll send it back to you guys. >> all right, lawrence. thank you. rain is definitely not on the wish list for one san francisco neighborhood. sinkholes are opening up all over after a big water main break in west portal and it's causing major problems for at least half a dozen homeowners. three homes have been red- tagged meaning they are uninhabiteddable. three others are yellow-tagged signifying they are dangerous but people can still go inside. experts say the ground is still so saturated with water that the foundations of those homes are giving way. the city is trying to help everyone affected. >> it's very unsettling. this happens to everyone. it's nod good. at the same time, we are doing our best to be responsive and i have had a number of homeowners say they appreciate what we're doing. nobody wants this. >> it could be months before the ground is dry enough to make the necessary repairs. the city is paying for temporary housing f
